Dutch design wall lamp, designed by Wim Rietveld. This lamp, which was brought on the market by the Gispen company, was designed by top designer Wim Rietveld. A black hood is placed on an arm, with 3 hinges, which is thinking a solar hat / Sombrero, it is generally assumed that the name of this model; “Panama”, is derived from this. The model still looks extremely modern today, but is already from 1956, an exceptionally progressive piece of design at the time. A red -colored “key” is placed at the rear, mounted against the wall plate. The lamp can be placed in the desired position by adjusting the key with the key. Under the hood we see a plastic cap, in almost unused new condition, which further spreads the light, a so -called “diffuser” that provides indirect and beautiful diffuse light. This model, which is known in the Gispen catalog under No. 4050. Electricity is checked, operation is perfect, to be used immediately. Coming from first owner, completely complete incl. Wall plate, in an exceptionally beautiful condition, no large scratches or dents, or strange discolorations. Very rare model, in this color and state, a real collector’s item and a beautiful value -resistant investment in your home or office.
