Studied at the university for Applied Art
He worked in the circle of Josef Hoffmann, Le Corbusier, Fernand Leger and Josef Frank.
1933 Oswald Haerdtl was also engaged by Josef Frank to design a flat at the Werkbundsiedlung and set up his own interior creations.
His main master pieces were the pavillons for the world exhibition Bruxelles 1935 and in Paris 1937.
In Vienna Oswald Haerdtl is best known for his espresso in Italian style, which enriched the Viennese Kaffeehäuser scene in the 1950s.
