EPIFANIA DESK + CUBE Mapa Burl Veneer Desk and Chest of Drawers

This assemblage brings together two seemingly related volumes to create a higher rectangular profile desk and a concentrated seating cube. Both covered in natural burl veneer in the tones of beige, the matching pieces display in most clarity the richness of the natural material surfaces. True to the curved profile design that is eminent in the collection, one of the desk’s legs takes the shape of an inverted arch, gently touching the base plane, whilst the other drops flat to embrace the stability of the cube.

The EPIFANIA collection evolves the brands’ vision on design through intensive fabrication. The natural materials are dimensionally reduced to their surface and remorphed to occupy expressive volumes and colour tones. The veneer is seen as a finner section of nature that wraps around classical forms whilst maintaining a contemporary design.
