Vintage Design
This stunning vintage chandelier was likely made in 1960s Italy. There are a total of 48 round, handmade murano glass discs. Disc diameter is circa 15 cm. The discs are hanging in columns of 3 from 16 hooks arranged in two tiers – an inside and outside tier, positioned around the circular chrome platform. The murano glass discs are beautifully handcrafted, made in an amber (orange-brown) colour that works very well with the silver chrome.
The chandelier has 8 lightbulb fixtures, 4 of which are pointed downwards and 4 above them pointed upwards.
Since taking these photos we have had the chandelier looked at by a qualified electrician who fixed the wiring problem – all light fixtures are in working order. The cable of this item is the original and might at some point need replacement.
CONDITION Very good vintage state with minor signs of age and use. As the disks are handmade there are glass bubbles visible inside some of them (see photographs).
