Landing Chest Bench in Walnut, 1920

This regional piece of furniture in solid walnut has a large chest whose front is made up of three panels. The central panel is carved with a circular flower surrounded by chiseled scrolls. On the sides, the panels are decorated with a large rosette in relief. The lid opens on hinges to reveal ample storage space. This chest rests on a molded plinth and small feet. The back of this piece of furniture is also carved with rosettes on its three panels. It also has numerous turned elements forming balusters. Each curved armrest rests on a turned wooden element.
