Magneto Floor Lamp by H. Fillekes for Artiforte

Very rare floor lamp, from the Dutch brand Artiforte, not to be confused with the furniture brand Artifort. This lamp has only been in production very briefly and therefore very rare, a design by H. Fillekes. This very innovative lamp is very similar to the later fishing lamps of other manufacturers we know from the late 60s and the 70s, but the design of this lamp is much older, because the design is already from 1954. The innovative and very special about this lamp is the ball joint that can be freely moved in all directions through an extremely strong magnet, which means that the lamp can be quickly put in all positions. The whole is more than 65 years old and found in this state with the first owner. The lamp is still in a very neat condition for its age, with appropriate traces of use which are never disturbing. This lamp is one of the rarest in the Netherlands designed and produced lamps on the market, and therefore a very exclusive collecters item. Produced between 1954 and 1958. Designer: H. Fillekes.
