Mid-Century Modern Cane and Walnut Blanket Chest

A beautiful walnut and caned blanket chest on casters. This piece has caned panels on all sides and looks amazing. The chest is sturdy enough to be used as bench seat. Stylistically, the chest or trunk reminds us of caned pieces by Founders Furniture and the designs of Jack Cartwright, however, this piece does not bear a maker’s mark or label. The chest is in very good condition with no noted breaks in the caned panels. There is the possibility of a minor scuff or two to the wooden framework. The brass latch may have a varied patina.
