Mid century modern vintage armchairs or club chairs from beech designed by Oswald Haerdtl attributed Vienna 1950s.
The frame of the armchair is from beechwood, while the original upholstery is covered with an original woolen light-brown fabric.
The same model was used in the coffeehouse “Cafe Central” in Baden in the surroundings of Vienna since the 1950s.
Oswald Haerdtl ( 1899 – 1959 ) was a famed Viennese architect and designer.
He created many interiors e.g. for PANAM or the historic museum in Vienna.
These chairs are in a good vintage condition.
