Vintage Design
Very rare Tripod table lamp by Napako based on a design by Josef Hurka.
This design lives from the contrast between the shade and the base. The frame with its technical design language is opposed by a decorative lampshade. The fine frame of the lamp is finished in red. At the bottom of the three legs are solid brass feet. A striking detail is the switch. Using a simple mechanism with a long lever, the lamp’s push switch can also be operated underneath the shade. The shade shows a pleated fold and is plugged directly onto the bulb. The original shade has several damages. Similar pleated shades for replacement are commercially available. However, this is primarily to preserve the original condition for collectors.
